Spectrum Sprint 15,000+ downloads
Currently over 15,000 people have downloaded and played Spectrum Sprint! The leaderboard is full of awesome scores that even we can’t beat! At the moment the highest score is made by “Haprog” in normal-difficulty setting: an unbelievable 25738 points. Great!
Spectrum Sprint released for Android
We have finally released our first Android game which happens to be an improved version of our previous game for Windows Phone 7. For those who haven’t played Spectrum Sprint, we are talking about an arcade style platformer with serious retro feeling.
The game mixes some nice and crispy pixel art with smooth and beautifull backgrounds. The music is catchy and the sound effects remind us of the 16-bit console era.
Gameplay
The goal of the game is to run as far as you can. You will be running and jumping on five different colored platforms: red, yellow, green, blue and gray. By tapping the color-buttons on the left side of the screen, you change the color of the Sprinter. He must be the same color as the platform he is landing to or he will fall trough and end the game. Gray platforms are always solid (no matter the color of the Sprinter). And yes, you jump by pressing the red button on the lower right of the screen.
While sprinting all over the clouds on the way to your next high score, you will face two kind of items or “power ups”. Golden arrows will slow your running speed by 50% and the blue ones will make you run 50% faster. The faster you run, the faster you score will increase, but so does the difficulty.
Global leaderboard
The game features three difficulty levels which each has its own global leaderboard. It is easy to go trough the scores by using the “Prev. 10” and “Next 10” -buttons. You can also find you own position on the list by using the “My position” -button; it will mark you score with a red color.
